Wednesday, December 8, 2010 Review!

We had the opportunity to do a review for is a company that offers many different types of tea including rooibos, black, chai, organic, green, and white, among others.  They also offer elegant tea sets and beautiful teapots, teacups, and tea accessories. is currently running specials on some of their products, so check out their website!  There are many ideas for gift giving:-)

They kindly sent us their Vanilla Rooibos Tea and the Smart Tea Maker.  My mom was excited because she enjoys drinking tea, especially during the cold winter months (my brothers are also tea lovers:-)  My family commented that the Vanilla Rooibos Tea was some of the best tasting tea they have ever had!

We found out some interesting things about Rooibos tea.  It's pronounced "ROY-BOSS."  It's recommended to combat irritability, headaches, disturbed sleeping patterns, insomnia, nervous tension, mild depression or hypertension. Rooibos tea does not contain caffeine (yay!) and has a soothing effect on the central nervous system. It also relieves stomach and indigestion  concerns ~ nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach ulcers and constipation.

The Smart Tea Maker is an "excellent tea maker that is practical and simple to use. Made of durable food grade plastic. Stainless steel filter included. Dishwasher Safe. Approx capacity: 600ml (20.4 fl oz)."

Basic Instructions (from their website):
Place tea leaves in the Smart Tea Maker.  (We used about 1-1/2 tsp. of tea leaves.)

Add boiling water.
Steep tea to your taste. (We steeped our tea for 3-5 minutes.)

Place the Smart Tea Maker on top of a cup or mug and let the tea drain into the cup. (I would add here that it works best with a mug that has a wide mouth.)

Remove the Smart Tea Maker to stop the flow. Your tea is ready to serve.
It's as simple as that!!  Very easy and convenient:-)  We give a thumbs up!!
