Conair Hair Products Review & Giveaway~3 Winners!!!

I was delighted to have an opportunity to review a few items from Conair!  They most generously sent me their Infiniti PRO hair dryer, YouStyle 2in1 brush, and scunci bendini clips.

The products

The Conair Infiniti PRO blow dryer is top quality!  I am really amazed at all the different options it offers.  For example...
I can twist and fold the blow dryer, making it more portable for travel and to store in the bag.
Because I have thin hair the cold shaft button is great for me, and will not dry my hair out.
This piece attaches to the front, and is ideal for curly hair (like my mom's:)

This is the filter which is replaceable!

Like all blow dryers, the Conair Infiniti PRO blow dryer has a "low" and "high" setting with two speeds.  I normally do not use a blow dryer, but this is great for Sunday mornings before church, as well as drying my hair when it's up in foam curlers so I don't have wet curls (yuck...LOL!)

The YouStyle 2in1 brush is the product I use the most.  I love the way it feels; when I am brushing it gives my hair a really "thorough brushing":) and collects loose hairs.  What a much better job it does than my other hair brushes!  It is called a "2in1 brush" because there is a button on the handle that allows the sides to bend backward to help create curls.  It gives my hair more of a "bob":)  And when I want my hair all straight, I can move the sides to their normal position.  Such a handy little gadget!

The scunci bendini clips are gorgeous; Conair sent me the ladies' size in silver and two colorful girls' sizes.  They are a pretty decoration for almost any hairdo.  They slide in my hair like a comb...then snap!

Conair is offering three of my readers one each of the above items!  (The first winner drawn at via Random.org will receive the Infiniti PRO blow dryer, the second will receive the YouStyle 2in1 brush, and the third will receive a scunci bendini clip!  WOW... I think this is one of my best giveaways yet!

Xlear (Spry Gum) Review & Giveaway!!

Xlear, Inc. offers a selection of healthy products such as nasal spray, candy, gum, sweetener, oral rinse, and toothpaste that are sweetened with xylitol.

"Xylitol - An Amazing Health Discovery

A healthy, natural sweetener with surprising benefits.
What is Xylitol
Pure xylitol is a white crystalline substance that looks and tastes like sugar. It is a naturally occurring 5-carbon sugar alcohol found in many fruits and vegetables and produced in small amounts by the human body. It has the same sweetness as sugar (sucrose) but with 40% fewer calories and none of the negative tooth decay or insulin release effects of sugar. Xylitol also has a low glycemic index (7) and has little effect on blood sugar levels.
Xylitol is recommended by dentist, medical doctors, periodontists, pediatricians, and many health organizations and health professionals worldwide as a sweetener for anyone concerned with dental health, upper respiratory health, and sugar consumption, in general."

They kindly sent me two packs each of their Spry gum in the flavors of green tea, peppermint, fresh fruit, cinnamon, and spearmint to review.  My favorite was the fresh fruit (though I have yet to try the cinnamon:)  I gave each of my family members some to try.  Many times when my dad eats sugar, it makes his teeth hurt.  But when he tried the cinnamon-flavored gum, he did not have a problem with that!  My mom is a big tea fan so the green tea flavor was perfect for her:)  My brothers were thrilled to try some- anything that is sweet is a "thumbs-up" for them; LOL!  All of the Spry gum selections have a fresh taste, are bursting with flavor, and best of all are healthy!

Xlear is offering one of my readers some of their Spry gum to try!

Element Bars Review & Giveaway!!

Hello~
I apologize for not posting sooner:(  Today I'd like to review some fantastic energy bars...Element Bars!  They most generously let me create my 12 own custom bars!

Wow...what fun:)  It was fun and easy selecting what ingredients I wanted in them.  For my "core", I chose the peanut butter instead of almond butter since my brother is allergic to tree nuts.  I could even pick my own texture from chewy, oaty, crispy or datey.  I love chewy granola bars so of course, I went with that:)  Next, came the variety of fruit~ cherries, cranberries, prunes, raisins, blueberries, and apricots.  I picked only cranberries since Element Bars gave me a helpful hint that a good bar contains no more than 4 ingredients.  I could have chosen a type of nut, but I skipped that choice as I'm not a really big fan of nuts.  On the "sweets" list there was the choices of honey, chocolate chips, Sundrops, brown rice syrup, maple syrup, pumpkin spice, and agave nectar of which I selected Sundrops ( a natural alternative to M'nM's) and chocolate chips~ yum!  Next, Element Bars gave a list of different boosts such as whey and soy protein, immunity, omega-3 and fiber.  Last but not least, they let me name my energy bars!  I decided on "Spring Granola Bars":)

Six of these delicious, ultra chewy bars vanished the day they arrived:)  My mom said they reminded her of "No-Bake Cookies."  Since the bars are very soft, it may be a good idea to refrigerate them (maybe freezing them would be good as well:)  I really liked all the options Element Bars provided- it was just as if I made them myself!  What is also really neat, is that you can choose to make some of the ingredients organic.  Element Bars are the perfect snack for hiking or bike riding, and with summer coming in a few months you'll want to have these on hand!

"Our History and Philosophy

As a graduate student in molecular nutrition and novice runner, Maria has tried all the nutrition bars out there. After studying nutrition, Maria found it disheartening that major nutrition bar makers still use ingredients such as high-fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils and artificial flavors despite the recent research linking them to obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Friends and family also lament the laundry list of unpronounceable ingredients on the back of bar wrappers while simultaneously claiming that the product is "all natural". An avid baker, Maria started experimenting in the kitchen and voila, Maria's oaty bar was created.
In another part of the Windy City, Jonathan had crashed by mid-morning after eating a sugary, processed energy bar. Jonathan was shocked at how unhealthy the mass-produced nutrition bar was that he had been eating for years. He found that most nutrition bars are loaded with saturated (or the 'bad') fat and refined sugar, while shortchanging us on fiber and polyunsaturated (the 'good') fat. Tinkering in his kitchen, Jonathan started making his own bars, which are high in protein, but still have plenty of fiber and are low in saturated fat.
Our story may sound familiar. We believe many people, like us, care about what goes into their bodies. Not only should food nourish our body and soul, it should be made in such a way that sustains our planet. We also understand that we all have different tastes and nutritional needs. So it is important to cater our individual diets to our unique taste and nutritional requirements. Besides being nourishing, we think nutrition bars should be enjoyable and fun! However, with today's busy, modern lifestyle, not everyone has the time to make his or her own nutrition bars.
Jonathan Kelley joined the team and the two "Jonathans" worked to create an energy bar designer so that anyone could build their own bar as easily as checking their email. After a number of sleepless nights and dozens of recipe perfections later, ElementBars.com had been born.
All-Natural, The Way You Like It
At Element Bars, we invite you to pick and choose the elements (or ingredients) that you want (or don't want) in your nutrition bar. We want to make nutrition personal again by letting you customize your bars to your liking. Our promise to you:
•Premium Ingredients - The highest quality, all-natural, minimally processed ingredients
•Deliciousness - Our Taste Guarantee
•Freshness - bars fresh out of the oven to your doorstep
•Personal Care - we will make your ElementBars experience perfect"
